Center for Continence Care and Pelvic Medicine

Urinary incontinence and prolapse of the pelvic organs are among the most common health conditions, affecting 1 in 3 women at some point in their lifetime.  Fear and embarrassment of urine leakage hinders ones social interactions, restricts daily activities and significantly impacts quality of life.  Prolapse often leads to an uncomfortable vaginal bulge with pelvic pressure and heaviness.  Unfortunately, only a small minority of women ever seek treatment for these conditions.  Usually this is due to embarrassment, the false belief that leakage is a normal part or aging, or a feeling that treatment is invasive and not effective.  If you experience symptoms of urinary leakage or prolapse you are not alone!

Urology Consultants, through our Center of Continence Care and Pelvic Medicine, offers medical and minimally invasive surgical options to treat these conditions.  Drs Bullock and Williams are fellowship trained in Female Urology and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction and have extensive training and experience in urethral sling procedures, InterStim therapy for urge incontinence, Botox® injections into the bladder muscle, and Da Vinci robotic and vaginal procedures for pelvic organ prolapse.

A Urodynamic study is an office based test that gives your doctor a detailed look at the function of your bladder much like an EKG gives information about your heart. It is used in the evaluation of urinary incontinence, urinary retention, and neurologic disorders. Urodynamics is helpful in the diagnosis of your urinary condition and in the tailoring of treatment options.
